Audiology Screening Booths Health & Safety officers with responsibility for employees in noisy industrial environments know that the 2005 Control of Noise Regulations made screening audiometry compulsory from 6 April 2006. Manufacturers are required by law to detect any early damage to hearing resulting from exposure to noise above 85dB(A) and for susceptible individuals down to 80dB(A). Claims for noise-induced hearing loss are also one of the most common occupational health (compensation) claims and audiometry helps reduce the numbers of claims. The smallest in the range, it is available from stock, is fully compliant with BS EN ISO 26189 and can be supplied fully assembled or in ‘kit’ form. Compact and on castors, the booth is fully mobile and passes easily through a standard doorway. With its new curved design, silent ventilation system, maintenance free internal LED lighting, moulded integral seat, foldable shelf and stainless steel jack panel (for connection to the audiometer) it is ready to use within minutes of delivery. IAC 401-A-SE Hearing Test Booth is a compact, single-wall standard audiology Booth with the door and window within the front face wall IAC 1201-A Hearing Test Booth is a standard double-wall audiology booth with a structurally-isolated inner room, offering a ‘high’ level of attenuation for particularly noisy environments.
