Hearing Research Facilities
Our facilities are used by many of the world’s renowned research universities.
In such research establishments, ultra-quiet environments are often required – often these are ‘off the scale’, far exceeding normal environmental sound attenuation requirements. IAC is one of only a handful of manufacturers worldwide with the necessary acoustical engineering capabilities to build such facilities.
For example, commissioned by world-leading deafness researcher Professor David Kemp, IAC designed and built what is believed to be the world’s most sophisticated hearing research environment, the Ear Institute – Centre for Auditory Research - part of University College London.
IAC is among the world’s leading suppliers of Audiology Booths and Rooms for non-clinical use as well, such as psycho and bio-acoustic research.
Wide range of options
From our compact, ‘mini’ Audiology Booths which are popular for modest requirements, through to almost 30 standard Audiology Booth and Room designs – IAC offers a wide range of different sizes and configurations. Many are available from stock.
Where varying levels of sound attenuation are required we have Single and Double Wall Audiology Booths available.
Bespoke Booths and Rooms can be designed and built, for any special requirements.
All IAC Audiology booths and rooms are supplied with specialist cabling, silent ventilation and specialist paint finishes which make for pleasing and comfortable working environments.
